May 18

Hello!

Hope all my readers are doing well.

May 18th, some may wonder?

I will not get into specifics but I wanted to say this, that each day or time, may be significant to one or another, for varies reasons.

For some it may be a beginning. Others, an end. For me, it’s neither a beginning or an end but a memory. Sometimes, with memories, we may not know how to feel or deal with the memory. Maybe, we wanted things to turn out different. Maybe, we don’t know how to move on from the memory. In either case, the picture that is posted is very significant.

It was sent to me by someone who will always be in my life no matter what or how the road turns or how bad the darkness may get. It was sent as a reminder that though there may have been a storm, what comes after may be just as beautiful. That picture shows light. Sometimes, things may seem dark but as I wrote before, at some point if you allow, there will be beauty beyond the storm and darkness.

In harmony with talking about darkness and seeing beauty, I will leave you all with this excerpt from what I think is my favorite book now

“i kept running away from my darkness until i understood that in it i would find my freedom” by Yung Pueblo-inward

So if the road turned without you seeing it, or maybe you did see the turn but didn’t imagine it to take you in a certain direction, and things seem blurry or dark, wait for it.

The beauty will come!

Hope you all enjoyed.

Recap on my trip

20180506_182739.jpg

Hello!

It’s been a little over a week since I’ve been back from what hopefully one day will be my home. I still haven’t unpacked because unpacking will make it seem so final.

My trip, while short, was wonderful and relaxing. I got to spend time with family which for most, is always great.

I went to surprise my brother and boy was he surprised. My brother is the second man I came to love when I came into this place we call a world. He reminds me a lot of my father so I guess that is why I have always been drawn to him.

The weather was great. Rained just a little bit on one of the days but then it turned into a nice sunny day.

The trip made me have a chance to really think about what I want in life and the changes that I need to make in order to get them. While being with my family was great, it was even greater being on the plane up above from it all. Flying has always been something I marvel at because you’re seeing the clouds and the sun rising and setting. It is something that is beautiful beyond words.

While there I did get to take some pictures in which I will share. Some may have seen them already but for those who didn’t, hope you enjoy.

Since I have been into quote these days, I will leave you guys with this one.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…..” -Dr. Seuss

CHANGE

Is it easy?

Hello!!

It’s been a long time. These days I’ve been struggling with things internally but also externally.

Today I wanted to talk about change. It seems that, that is something we all have in common whether we know it or not. It’s something that sees no color, race, class, you name it, we all face it.

I am very into quotes and these days with the help of modern technology you can have them sent to you daily. This week alone I received two quotes that had something to do with change.

The first was by William James “ Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action”. The second was by someone many may be more familiar with Mahatma Gandhi “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.

I thought they are pretty deep quotes. Sometimes when we think of action and happiness in the same sentence, we may think that we need to take a specific action or change in order to bring that happiness, however, sometimes we may need to take a direction that we may not know in order to see if we get that happiness.

The second quote I took more on a personal level not the world as a whole. Within our own lives we may need to do something or make that change, in order, to see what we may be wishing or dreaming of.

Now I will be the first to admit, that change is by no means easy, for some perhaps it is. I know for me it isn’t. For some change may be difficult because of something physical, financial, or mental restraint. I think for me it may be a little of all.

We all have heard the saying “history repeats itself”. We have seen it. We are living through it. Stop and think. Maybe history repeating itself is because change has never took place.

For me, whether it may be small at first, I need to change. It won’t be easy. There’s a saying “the road to easy street goes through the sewer”.  So it may be difficult, it may even hurt but all we can do is try. Just like a baby sometimes learns to crawl before they walk we too may need to learn the same.

For all those reading this maybe you’re struggling with having to make a change. If you are consider these words that was once said by John F. Kennedy  “Change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future“.

Let us not miss the future because it just may be what we are longing for!

THANK YOU FOR READING!

21

Time. Is how you use it important?

Hello!

I hope all is well with everyone reading. Today where I am, we find ourselves in yet another snow storm. I’m over this weather but anyway, let’s get to the topic on hand. 21! You may ask, what is 21?

21 years ago on this day, at 9:23am my dad was pronounced dead. As I mentioned before in my post titled “LOST” it changed my life. I won’t get into the ways it did but what I wanted to touch on was time.

Time can change things from good to bad, bad to good, pretty to ugly or ugly to pretty. How we choose that time is what matters. Sometimes we may hear, well I didn’t get the chance or time to do or say this or that. In reality for some and for the most part,we did get the time,  the difference I feel is that we didn’t take the time.

For a while, I found myself saying I didn’t get the chance to say some things to my dad. Now that I look back, I had I just didn’t use the time wisely. Some of us have the tendency to procrastinate, perhaps saying, I have later or tomorrow. But do we? I mean I hope we all live a life full of later’s and tomorrow’s. The point is that time can change. It changed for my dad and it changed for me.

So my friends, as you read this, take the time to really look at how you are using your time. Are you using it to make lasting memories or are you using it perhaps being worried about doing or becoming, only to maybe find yourself one day saying, “I wish I had taken the time”. (Again please know that I am by no means telling anyone how or what to do with your time because at the end of the day it is that, your time.)

In time I do hope to get into fashion as well as some other topics but for now I hope you enjoyed. If you liked what you read, Please feel free to leave a comment or hit the follow or like buttons.

Thank you!
